Terms of Service

Last updated: May 18, 2026

These terms govern your use of YourDevTools at yourdevtools.pro (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Important Notice

YourDevTools is a free collection of developer and everyday utilities. The tools are intended to help you with quick, day-to-day tasks: formatting, encoding, calculating, generating, validating.

Always verify the output of any tool before relying on it in a critical context. This includes, but is not limited to: medical decisions, financial transactions, legal documents, security configurations, code shipped to production, and anything involving cryptographic keys or passwords. We provide utilities. We do not provide certified advice and we are not a substitute for a qualified professional.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service in any way you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms in full. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

3. Description of the Service

YourDevTools is a website hosted in the European Union that offers more than 300 free tools. There is no sign-up, no paid tier, no advertising on the way (AdSense may be enabled later under consent), and no account to manage.

The Service is provided in two languages: Polish (PL) and English (EN). Some tools run entirely in your browser; others need a small amount of server-side processing. The Privacy Policy describes the technical split in detail.

We may add, modify or remove tools at any time without notice. We do our best to keep popular tools online and stable, but we make no promise of continuity for any individual utility.

4. Acceptable and Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • carry out any unlawful activity or produce any unlawful content. This explicitly includes, but is not limited to, material constituting Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), content promoting or inciting terrorism, and any content prohibited under applicable EU or Polish law;
  • generate artefacts intended to deceive or harm others, including QR codes encoding malicious or phishing URLs, fake credentials, forged tokens, or deepfake-like media;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, mass-harvest or otherwise extract the Service for purposes inconsistent with normal use;
  • automate mass creation of webhook or mock-API endpoints, or use the storage-backed tools as free hosting for arbitrary payloads beyond the testing use case they are designed for;
  • circumvent rate limits, for example by rotating IP addresses, abusing residential proxy networks, or distributing requests across many sessions;
  • use server-side tools to attack third parties. Our SSRF guard blocks obvious attempts to probe internal networks, private IP ranges and link-local addresses, but the prohibition is general: do not use our tools as a launchpad for reconnaissance, scanning, brute force, or denial-of-service against anyone.

We reserve the right to investigate and, where appropriate, report violations to the competent authorities.

5. Rate Limits

The Service uses per-IP, per-endpoint rate limits to keep the site responsive for everyone. Limits vary by endpoint and are tuned for normal interactive use. Examples (subject to change):

  • analytics ping: 60 events per minute per IP
  • server-side tool calls: typically 30 to 60 requests per minute per IP
  • webhook receiver inbound: capped at a reasonable per-endpoint rate

When you exceed a limit you receive an HTTP 429 Too Many Requests response. This is not a permanent ban, it resets within seconds to a few minutes.

6. Intellectual Property

The YourDevTools site code, design, brand and content are owned by the controller named in the Privacy Policy or by their licensors. Open-source dependencies retain their respective licences.

You retain all rights to any input you provide to the tools. We do not claim ownership of your input, your data, or any output you produce by combining your input with a tool.

You may link to YourDevTools freely. You may not present the Service as your own or remove attribution from any pages you reproduce.

7. Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uptime, latency, or freedom from defects. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you or any third party.

Maintenance windows are typically announced through a banner on the site. Unscheduled outages happen; we work to restore service as fast as we reasonably can.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • the Service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement;
  • the controller is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service;
  • the controller is not liable for any damages arising from your reliance on tool output, including but not limited to data loss, financial loss, security incidents, or harm to third parties;
  • nothing in these terms limits liability for damages that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law (e.g. intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by the controller's negligence under EU consumer protection rules).

If you are a consumer in the European Union, statutory consumer rights apply and these limitations apply only to the extent the law allows.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we believe in good faith that you have violated these terms, that your use is harming the Service or other users, or that we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time by closing the tab. There is no account to delete.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The Polish Civil Code, the Polish Act on Provision of Electronic Services (ustawa o świadczeniu usług drogą elektroniczną) and applicable EU consumer protection law apply.

Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the Service is subject to the jurisdiction of the Polish common courts. The competent court is the court for the place of the controller's seat, currently in Warsaw, except where mandatory consumer protection rules grant you a different forum.

11. Consumer Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform:

  • ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

You may also approach your local municipal or district consumer ombudsman (miejski / powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów). This is not mandatory and does not preclude court action.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unenforceable or contrary to mandatory law, the remaining provisions stay in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be replaced, in spirit, by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the original intent.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemics, sustained distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, internet backbone failures, prolonged outages at our hosting provider or any other Service provider listed in the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Material changes (e.g. new restrictions on use, new processor categories, changes to governing law) will be flagged with a banner on the site for at least 14 days after the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the current revision. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance.

15. Contact

For legal questions, takedown notices, formal disputes, abuse reports or anything else, write to contact@yourdevtools.pro.
