Does CDR → SVG lose quality?

We read AI but lossy - Illustrator uses a proprietary PDF-based format. Simple files convert well; advanced (gradient mesh, AI effects) may drop elements.

EMF / WMF (Microsoft)?

Read and write - Microsoft's old vector format, used by Office.
