How to use it
- Source city: click to pick from the list (autocomplete - type "Tokyo" / "Asia/Tokyo"). Default = your local TZ.
- Source time: pick a date and time (interpreted as wall-clock in the source TZ). Click "now" to fill the current source-side time.
- Targets: 4 popular cities (NY, London, Tokyo, Sydney) preloaded. Click "+ Add city" for more. X removes a target.
- Each target shows: time, UTC offset (e.g. "UTC+09:00"), DST badge if currently on summer time, and difference vs source ("+8h").
- Your-local banner appears if source ≠ your TZ - useful when converting between two foreign cities.

Situations where you need to hop between timezones:
- Remote work - 14:00 Berlin meeting - is that an hour after lunch for the NY team? Check it.
- Travel planning - flight leaves Tokyo at 10:00 - when do I land in London after 12 hours?

- DST awareness - most of Europe flips to winter time on the last Sunday of October, US on the first Sunday of November - for a week the difference shifts by an hour. Converter shows it via DST badges.
- Server logs - log timestamp in UTC, user reports incident "at 14:30" - what time UTC?
Questions and answers
UTC offsets (e.g. "GMT+1") don't encode DST. Berlin in winter = UTC+1, summer = UTC+2. A converter using bare offset will give wrong results for second-half-of-year dates. IANA timezones (e.g. "Europe/Berlin") have full DST history and exceptions - they convert any date correctly. City autocomplete = user-friendly wrapper around IANA.
